Sustainability: the pursuit of environmentally sound development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the future!

The 5th Annual IEEE Technologies for Sustainability Conference (SusTech 2017) is designed to explore the development and application of science, engineering and technology in achieving a sustainable lifestyle for humanity. It brings together scientists, engineers, technologists and scholars from multiple disciplines to hold a dialogue on environmental issues and collaborate on ideas to develop and utilize innovative tools and intelligent systems to address them. Attendees will learn about the tools, connections and proactive solutions to take their sustainability programs to the next level.

SusTech 2017 will feature invited presentations, technical papers, student posters (contest) and workshops. A number of prominent experts will be giving keynotes addresses and plenary presentations.

Conference content that meet IEEE quality review standards will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore® as well as other Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) databases.

Abstracts are solicited for invited presentations from industry, government and academia covering relevant applied research, technologies, methodologies, tools and case studies. Topics with policy implications are also welcome. Invited speakers bio, abstract, and photo will be posted on the web site. A PDF of the complete set of invited speakers will be included in the proceedings. Optionally, an invited paper can be submitted (to be reviewed and meet IEEE quality requirements) of 8 pages maximum as described at https://ieee-sustech.org/authors/. We can also now publish a 2-page extended abstract in the proceedings that will not count as a formal publication. These can be arranged after abstract acceptance.
