It is my pleasure to welcome you to the fifth annual IEEE Technologies for Sustainability Conference (SusTech 2017). This international conference has been organized by the IEEE Phoenix Section, IEEE Region 6, the IEEE Oregon Section, IEEE-USA, IEEE Environmental Engineering Technical Community, IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, and the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology (IEEE SSIT).
Our program committee has worked to bring together a program that focuses on a cross-disciplinary look at advances in available as well as emerging technologies that advance the goals of long-term economic, societal and environmental sustainability for humanity.
The Conference is being held at Hilton Airport Hotel in Phoenix, AZ and is organized in eight tracks with research papers and/or distinguished invited speakers in each track: Renewable / Alternate Energy, Energy Efficiency, Internet of Things – IoT for Sustainability, Smart Grid, Ecological Sustainability and Conservation, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Societal Implications / Quality of Life, and Water Resources Management.
On Sunday, November 12th, we have two Professional Development Workshops (Mobile Microgrid Training Platform and Makers and Sustainability), then a student poster contest followed by a Welcome Reception.
On Monday, November 13th, the Conference kicks off with a distinguished keynote speaker, followed by an Environmental panel. We have distinguished keynote speakers during the lunch as well as at the Gala Dinner event in the evening.
Your participation is the key to this conference, whether an author, speaker or attendee. Listen, learn, engage and discuss with your fellow participants.
The website will provide you information on the Program for SusTech 2017. You will find the program grid & hotel map, SusTech schedule, and Exhibits and Donors information. You can also find information about the scheduled technical papers and invited presentations for each track, bio-data of distinguished invited and keynote speakers, panel discussions, and student poster contest.
Welcome to Arizona.
