Welcome
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the fourth annual IEEE Technologies for Sustainability Conference (SusTech 2016). This international conference has been organized by the IEEE Phoenix Section, IEEE Region 6, the IEEE Oregon Section, IEEE-USA and the IEEE Society on Technical Implications of Technology (IEEE SSIT).
Our program committee has worked to bring together a program that focuses on a cross-disciplinary look at advances in available as well as emerging technologies that advance the goals of long-term economic, societal and environmental sustainability for humanity.
The Conference is being held at Marriott’s Airport Hotel in Phoenix, AZ and is organized in seven tracks with research papers and/or distinguished invited speakers in each track: Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Electronics, Smart Grid, Societal Implications, Transportation, and new for his year, Internet of Things.
On Sunday October 9th, we have a Professional Development Workshop (Makers and Sustainability), then an undergraduate student poster contest followed by a Welcome Reception.
On Monday October 10th the conference kicks off with a distinguished keynote speaker. We have distinguished keynote speakers during the lunch as well as the dinner event in the evening.
The conference concludes on Tuesday October 11th with a panel discussion on “The Next Big Thing” with insightful leaders from local organizations.
Your participation is the key to this conference, whether an author, speaker or attendee. Listen, learn, engage and discuss with your fellow participants.
The web site will provide you the basic information on the Program for SusTech 2016. You will find the SusTech schedule and hotel map and Exhibits and Donors information. You can also find information about the scheduled technical papers for each track, bio-data of distinguished keynote speakers, closing panel discussion, and the student poster contest.
Welcome to Arizona.
